I asked Ben to give us the story behind this photo of the day. I think I might start doing this for these photos of the day that Snowboarder does. This one is shot by our boy Oli Gagnon. CLICK HERE to see this photo and more photos of the day. Here is what Ben had to say:

“This was early season, late November I think, on Whistler Mountain. I hiked up to that zone a few days earlier for some pow turns and found this tree jam. So I called Oli and told him I was gonna go try to hit this thing and have our friend Pedro filming it with my camera. Oli agreed without further questions. When we got close to the tree, I told the guys, “We’re lucky no one rode in the landing!”. As I say that, a crazy skier comes down ripping through the landing. It was a fun session, although none of the shots were used, it was a good way to break the ice.”
