So we had to go over the pass from Wannaka to Queenstown for a signing and party sesh in town. We didnt figure chains would be full necessary during the storm of the century or whatever. I guess we were wrong.
Moments like this tend to get pretty blog heavy from all angles. I think we just mostly didn’t want to deal with the chains. Thanks Joel!
It was kinda a race. Our van got the chains on first.
The chains didnt end of fitting on the other rental so we tried to push it up the mtn for a bit with our van. It worked for a few hundred feet…
Then somehow in the middle of turning the vehicles around we hit the two together and a strangers rental aswell. Classic.
whoops.
We eventually made it a bunch of hours later. The bar we went to had a ramp in it! Joey, Chris and Scott Shredded that thing to pieces but i may have to give Joe MVP of the sesh.
Stevens with a quick backside vaginto-Bean plant.
Then he hooked us up with this boneless.
Joe frontside flickin.
Stevens, Joel, and Chris in party mode that skating is done.
Pool kinda became the thing we did. They were everywhere we went.
Scott and Chris were a pretty unstoppable force for the most part. Id say Scott carried the team tho.
Then the Icing stated. Chris took it like a champ.
Cook working on his kickflips while drunk at 2 am in the bar.
He wanted to heat it up a bit more with the tre bomb. To make it even more interesting he was skating my board.
We all met up in the hotel restaurant the next morning to try and organize ourselves a bit from the night before.
We decided it would be a good idea to go and snowboard at the skatepark seeing as how it had just snowed almost a foot in town and the mtns were all closed.
I bet Joe he couldn’t boardslide the big rail. He kinda set it off.
Poor photo timing on Cooks part. I think this was a backside nosepress?
It was Chris’s turn to lace us up some moves. Hes just making sure that pop is there for the day you know.
Here he goes!
Waaa Baaahh! Nollie flip the waterfall gap. So popped!?@#$!?
Chris skitched his way out of the park. Way skate style.
Sleepy Alert!
The next day we went up to try and ride at Cardrona. Alex Lopez came with us.
It was snowing so hard you literally couldn’t see a foot in front of you. So i grabbed this photo of us roosting pow back down to the cars.
Stevens slasher.
Proper zoich on Alo’s board.
Hes at it again.
On the way home we finally decided to stop off at these monster trucks we had been driving past for a few days. We volunteered Grendys to get in there.
Then Chris and JP got all hyped on chasing sheep.
Classic
A quick shout out to Austin and Bryan. Found this in a restaurant with the best lamb shoulder.
The next day we hoped a plan back to Auckland to ride some of what northern New Zealand had to offer. Scott shows off his new 6 dollar purchase.
A pretty nice view as you walk out to board the plane.
