This past Friday we got a basketball game going. Lakers vs Timberwolves. Jonas Michilot, Tara Michilot, Danimals, and Brandon Larsen were in town, all of whom are from Minnesota. Vermont’s Will Bateman might as well be from Minnesota and our intern Jon is from Michigan which is pretty close to MN. The Lakers really were playing the Timberwolves that night, so we gave our mock battle a shot too. The Lakers being Big Mountain Mike (more recently known as ‘The Book Thief’), Desiree Melancon, our friend Kenny, my cousin Baines, and myself. And do I really need to explain which team won both the mock battle as well as the real game? Donovan was playing at the El Ray Theatre in Santa Monica. Donovan is one of my favorites. You might recognize his song from Louif’s part in These Days as well as the intro to These Days, Gigi’s part in Optimistic, and Andrew Reynolds part in Baker 2 G.
