Mt. High Opens Sucka
October 29th, 2009 by Lance Michael Hakker
Mt. High opened today for season pass holders only. Luckily for us our boy, Transworld’s Anthony Manfredi had our backs and got us in.

DJ Slipmat!

Nima Jalali, run 1, jib 1 of the season.

Nima getting his banger legs ready.

Fools.

Already?

Ian Dodds pressing for days.

Nima bashing the 180 fakie nosepress for Mike and Anthony.

Mike carving off rocks.

Oh what? Dance off next to the lift line for a snowboard? Dang son.

Sometimes you never know what Nima is really doing when he’s snowboarding.

This box doesn’t look that weird. And maybe if you’re a box specialist, it’s not. But we thought it was sticky and completely nutso. Big Mountain Mike made a frontboard across it.

Nima wheely.

Nima and Anthony collaborating.

I was repping the champs all day long.

Nima with the biggest frontside 180 ever. Take that DIRKS!

This was so close to being a photo of Big Mountain Mike. So close, but instead Nima’s hand swooped in.

Anthony getting buck like Jeremy Jones.

Ian jammed the stick.

Anthony got his back.

I was getting up to bomb the hill, when this guy was like, “Get a photo for the Ashbury blog!” or something like that. I tried, I really did. I wasn’t fast enough.

This is my Lucas Debari line.

Bigs getting up on a blown snowball.

Nima frontside boardsliding from red to orange.

Dude… keep that long hair of yours out of the way.
32 and Etnies Photo Shoot
October 28th, 2009 by mike

I was in the area when Nima went to Sole Tech for a photo shoot, so I dropped by. Nima doing business in the midst of Johnny Miller, Brian Cook and Chris Bradshaw.

Nima models.

Yeah, That’s JP Walker son!

Johnny parties harder then you do. 1 pm.

Bradshaw models too.

See that buster on the right? I had to pick that fool up at the airport. And just to clear things up, Nima doesn’t only eat nuts and berries. He eats salmon and brown rice too.

Nima and my crispy.

I played 2 games of skate today. Joey Sexton beat me in the first one.

Here is Bradshaw, mad poppy, during my second game of skate. Which of course I lost again.

If I was in control of this photo shoot you know there would have been a fan, to the right there, blowing that beautiful hair.

I left early to avoid traffic, and I thanked my lucky stars I didn’t leave a minute earlier. As I walked into the lobby area I ran into Brian Cook bringing in a straggling star. Chris Grenier, all Merriled out.

Berrics stop today. Here Daniel Duarte is showing us some Berrics bloopers. (like how I linked the Berrics, like you haven’t already been to their site today?)

Catchin Billy Marks signing a board.

Nima and I went to lunch with Steve, Salman, and Billy at Urth Cafe and they brought us out some free pumpkin pie, hyped on the fall treat.

We visited Elm for a minute too. They’re right across the street from the local talent.

What was waiting for us back at the Emporium? House of 1817 package!

Later that night Bigs and I went to Cheryl and Josh Brubaker’s for some pumpkin carving.

My favorite dog, Bentley!

Bam! Mine is the TV.
