I’ve been trying to get Jared Johnson to send me these photos for over a year. And he has finally obliged! While in Mammoth last spring Jared and Evan LeFebvre ran into this bear.

I’d say this bear is go-listed for Skeleton Crew.

I think Jared should have gotten closer to pet it. In all seriousness though, I think these photos are epic.

Jared’s photos reminded me of this photo of Big Mountain Mike, he caught a Rubber Boa in Sequoia last week. He would have petted that bear.
